The Matsuri Barcelona Festival returns to Moll de la Fusta (Port Vell) to celebrate its 11th edition on the weekend of June 21 and 22, 2025. It is a non-profit cultural festival, inspired by the traditional matsuri held in different regions of Japan.

The Matsuri promotes cultural exchange through traditional dances, performances, music, food, and festivities.

We are looking forward to reconnecting with the Japanese community in Barcelona, and we hope you will join us on June 21 and 22 at Moll de la Fusta for what promises to be a truly unforgettable event.

We hope to see you at Moll de la Fusta, on Barcelona's stunning waterfront promenade, but we entrust you with an important mission: to prevent important traditional Japanese practices from falling into oblivion by joining us and getting involved. We need your help to organize the best Matsuri Festival in history. By staying true to our roots, we will enjoy traditional and cultural folk entertainment, which can be difficult to find even in Japan.

We want to bring people together through the charm of Japanese tradition. We want to offer an alternative narrative to the popularized J-Pop, Manga, and Otaku culture. Join us for a truly traditional and impressive perspective. We hope that the youth will reconnect with the essence of Japan, and we believe that this goal is fundamental for our society, objectives, and future evolution. Japan has a rich cultural diversity, and we will capture it at Matsuri 2025.

We hope to promote this diverse cultural exchange, together with you. So put on your kimonos, pour your sake, and come celebrate the Land of the Rising Sun with us at Matsuri 2025.
