Routes

On Saturday, March 14 at 11am, at FNAC Rambles, there will be a Spanish Civil War walking tour, guided by writer Aureli Vázquez, author of La mujer del miliciano and a specialist in Civil War Barcelona. The activity will consist of a walking tour of several points along La Rambla and some streets of El Raval, with the aim of explaining the role these spaces played during 1936 and 1937.

The session will begin at Fnac Rambles, where Aureli will give a general introduction to the historical context and the main themes of his novel. Next, there will be a tour of a selection of buildings and locations that during that period served as headquarters for political parties, accommodation for international militiamen, communication centers such as Telefónica, or establishments typical of the time. The author will explain the specific function of each place and the documented events that took place there.

Once the itinerary is over, the group will return to Fnac, where Aureli will offer some concluding remarks and attend to those who wish to discuss the book or request a signature.
