The SuchArt Quintet was formed in 2024 at the Liceu Conservatory of Music, within the Chamber Music course. What begins as an academic project later becomes an initiative aimed at continuity and artistic identity within brass chamber music. The ensemble consists of Daniel Doz on horn, Miquel Eslava on trombone, Sergio Ballester on tuba, and Dèlia Llòpis and Jan Costa on trumpets. The quintet stands out for its rigorous and expressive interpretation, aspiring to explore the possibilities of the brass chamber repertoire and to bring this formation closer to audiences with energy, sensitivity, and ensemble cohesion.
Friday, March 27 at 7 p.m. Saxophone Quartet
This Saxophone Quartet brings together four young talents from the Liceu Conservatory of Music, who are studying at the centre as solo and chamber musicians under the guidance of professor Albert Julià.
Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. Nerina Quartet
With a repertoire spanning from classicism to contemporary music, the quartet explores all the expressive possibilities of its format, offering a youthful, rigorous, and deeply sensitive perspective on the chamber music scene.
The Nerina Quartet is made up of violin, viola, cello, and piano, formed by students of the Liceu Conservatory of Music and scholarship holders of the Ferrer Music Foundation. They study under the artistic guidance of cellist and Conservatory professor, Amparo Lacruz Zorita.
Despite its recent creation, the Nerina Quartet stands out for the solidity and musical maturity of its members, each with an outstanding career both as soloists and orchestral performers.
Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. Duo Pulso
The program From Italy to Buenos Aires proposes a musical journey that begins with the lyrical elegance of Paganini, a symbol of Italian virtuosity, and moves on to the colors of French impressionism, linking with Manuel de Falla and the Spanish national flavor. The journey continues with the evocative charm of Albéniz and the modern guitar of Máximo Pujol, bringing us closer to tango. Finally, Piazzolla closes the journey in Buenos Aires, fusing tango and modernity. A sound journey from European Romanticism to the urban pulse of Argentina.
