"All the colors of white", Magí Puig at Sala Parés

From March 22nd to May 3rd, you can see "All the colors of white" by Magí Puig at Sala Parés.

"I start the paintings with the canvas in white and, as I work on it, there is a moment when the painting seems as if it wants to return to the initial white."

Addition, accumulation, painting, unpainting in a cyclical process that simulates returning to the beginning and not advancing.

The canvas reveals itself to me as the impatient disciple of the fable about patience, learning, and the value of the process:
A disciple went to see his master and said:
? Master, no matter how much I read, listen, and meditate, I feel like I retain nothing. Everything seems to disappear from my mind as if it were water between my fingers.
The master gave him a sieve and said:
? Go to the river and fill this bucket with as much water as you can carry with the sieve.
The disciple obeyed, but every time he tried, the water slipped away before reaching the bucket. After many frustrated attempts, he returned and said:
? It's impossible! The water always escapes!
The master asked:
? But what happened to the sieve?
The disciple looked at the sieve and realized that before it was dirty and now it was completely clean.
Then, the master said:
? The same happens with knowledge and learning. Even if it seems like you forget many things, the process transforms you. Every reading, every reflection, every attempt makes you grow.
