Josep Maria Pou embodies Roald Dahl, the eccentric internationally renowned writer, author of hits like Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Witches, who saw how some controversial statements of his inflamed the press, affecting his reputation, with unforeseeable consequences.

Directed by Josep Maria Mestres and inspired by real events, Mark Rosenblatt's play offers a multifaceted portrait of a terribly charismatic writer and explores, with sharpness not devoid of humor, the difference between reasoned opinion and the dangers of rhetoric dictated by prejudices.

Summer of 1983. The famous English writer Roald Dahl reviews the proofs of his latest book, which is about to go to press, but the scandal caused by an antisemitic article he recently published does not seem to calm down. Throughout a single afternoon at his home, facing an unexpectedly belligerent interlocutor, Dahl is forced to choose between publicly apologizing or risking his fame and reputation.
