Barcelona Christmas Festival

· When? From 20 to December 30th. 2025
· Days? Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
· Address: Plaça de Catalunya
· Organize: Ajuntament de Barcelona

The Barcelona Christmas Festival begins each day with mornings designed for the whole family, continues with exciting afternoons of circus and dance, and evenings dedicated to a variety of musical rhythms, and ends with an exciting closing show starring a large choir.

Christmas is a story, a narrative made of feelings, emotions, and affections that is told when the whole community is gathered. Christmas is a story like the ones that gather us around a fireplace or like the ones seen on a stage. These days, in Plaça de Catalunya, tales will be told again, with different voices and diverse languages: with circus or with dance, with movement or with music... Almost twenty theater, dance, and circus companies are in charge of this, six of which are international, in addition to nine music bands.

Mornings with the family

A complete and diverse show with visual and object theater that takes a musical journey to a surprising planet.

Programming schedule: from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Come with the children, but don't miss any detail, because the unique, intimate, and small-scale scenic pieces you will see in Plaça de Catalunya in the morning will captivate both children and accompanying adults. A series of artists, each with their own technique and discipline, will create a polyphonic show that includes visual and object theater, as well as a musical journey that will take you far.

Afternoons of circus and dance

Acrobatics, musical juggling, urban dance, contemporary dance, physical theater... A selection of local and international artists illuminate Barcelona's Christmas.

Programming schedule: from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Dance, circus, and the most characteristic disciplines of street arts take center stage in the afternoon program, designed for all audiences, but with elements of mature reflection. Local and international artists combine acrobatics, musical juggling, urban dance, contemporary dance, and physical theater in their proposals.

Evenings of music

Christmas with a lot of rhythm: folk, jazz, rap, electronic, Latin sounds, fusion, and other live music.

Programming schedule: from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

When the sun sets... the music plays. Plaça de Catalunya becomes a showcase of Barcelona's music scene, with musicians from folk, jazz, rap, electronic, Latin sounds, and fusion.

Spectacular nights

A grand musical and theatrical show performed by a choir closes each night's program with a journey to the essence of Christmas.

Programming schedule: at 8:00 p.m.

Music, and specifically the human voice, have both a musical and theatrical dimension. This dual condition inspires the proposal that will conclude each day of the Barcelona Christmas Festival.
