Do you want to learn how to make the popular jiaozi (dumplings, Chinese turnovers) and discover the culinary traditions of the Chinese New Year?
The Confuci Institute Foundation of Barcelona, with the collaboration of the Boqueria Market, invite you to a cooking workshop to celebrate the year of the snake, where you will work on various preparation and cooking techniques of jiaozi, while learning about the culinary varieties of northern and southern China and the gastronomic traditions linked to the new year. At the end of the session, there will be a tasting with all the participants.
Free entry with mandatory prior registration, limited capacity.

Presented by Wenbin Peng (Hunan, 1982): In addition to daily learning in his family's kitchen, his academic career includes training at the Hofmann School, a Higher Diploma in Sommelier from CETT, and a WSET 3 Diploma. Wen has worked in restaurants in Europe and China, awarded with the Michelin Bib Gourmand and other significant recognitions (La Mundana Barcelona, Chungking Noodles Berlin, Pema-Karakal Tibetian Restaurant Shangri-La...). Passionate about cooking, he skillfully combines the cuisine style of Xiangxi (Western Hunan) with other traditional Chinese styles at PENG'S Barcelona, a culinary innovation haven founded in 2020.
