Classic at the beach

The Gran Teatre del Liceu and Dagoll Dagom bring 'Mar i cel' to the beach with a unique symphonic version as part of the Classical at the Beach series

A new edition of Classical at the Beach is coming, an initiative by Gran Teatre del Liceu, L'Auditori and Palau de la Música Catalana, united through Barcelona Obertura and in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council with the aim of bringing symphonic music closer to the public. This year the concerts will be on July 9th and 10th at Sant Sebastià beach, at 9pm.

On Wednesday, July 9th, the Orchestra and Chorus of Gran Teatre del Liceu, under the direction of Sergi Cuenca and with the participation of Dagoll Dagom, will offer a selection of symphonic versions of excerpts from Mar i cel, by maestro Albert Guinovart.

And on Thursday, July 10th, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC), together with the Chamber Choir of Palau de la Música Catalana, conducted by Ludovic Morlot, will perform various excerpts from the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet and Three Spanish Dances by Enric Granados.
