Corpus 2025
· When? From 19 to June 22nd. 2025
· Days? Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
· Organize: Ajuntament de Barcelona
From Thursday, June 19th to Sunday, June 22nd, the Corpus festival fills the city with popular culture in the form of floral decorations, festive events, and people from Barcelona strolling through the streets full of life and tradition, adorned to celebrate one of the most outstanding festivals in the festive calendar.
The "ou com balla" (dancing egg) recovers its splendor! With the end of the drought decree and after a few years of being adapted due to the drought, the fountains will once again propel the eggs towards the ceilings of the cloisters, courtyards, and gardens, returning to showcase the splendor and spectacular nature of this truly Barcelona element.
Once again, the flower carpets will spread throughout the city, displaying the designs and decorations made by Barcelona entities, which will be dismantled by the processions, parades, and festive elements of the neighborhoods after the festival. Some spaces will be recovered, such as the Palau del Lloctinent - Archive of the Crown of Aragon. Another novelty will be the extension of the Corpus Eve by the Ball de Diables de Barcelona - Revenedors, which will perform their spoken dance and a parade with fire.
Parades, dances, open doors, bell ringing, exhibitions, talks... complete the Corpus, which has become a feast for the senses: touch, with the stepping on the flowers in the carpets; sight, with the delicate image of the dancing egg above the fountain; taste, with the "panoli" and cherries; hearing, with the sound of bells and the melody of the "gralles" and "flabiols" accompanying the street performances, and smell, with the scent of gunpowder, but also broom and freshly picked flowers.
On La Rambla, and around La Rambla, you can enjoy many activities.
