One more year, the Maritime Museum of Barcelona hosts the award ceremony of the Nostromo Literary Prize "The Maritime Adventure." This year's edition is dedicated to the figure of Rudyard Kipling (Bombay, 1865 - London, 1936), author of Captains Courageous.
This literary prize is named Nostromo in honor of Joseph Conrad, Merchant Marine captain and writer, who managed to elevate to universal status the life and dreams of a ship's crew. The prize was created more than twenty years ago with the aim of rewarding narratives that had "an intimate relationship with the world of the sea." The Nostromo Literary Prize has a prize money of €5,000 and the publication of the work is borne by Editorial Edhasa.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 23 at 7 pm at the Main Stands of the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.
