"Dial·lel" by Sexy Lotus Subidon at the Teatre Poliorama

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Do we have the opportunity to be reborn, to start again? How will we do it this time? Will we repeat the same steps? Are we capable of building another imaginary world? Will we manage to get out of the loop and break the dia·l·lel?

Dial·lel is the first show by SEXY LOTUS SUBIDON: A cinematic and scripted concert, which reflects on the possibility of breaking established cycles. Inspired by great and (not so great) visual works - soundtracks, openings, and scores from cult films and series - and the result of research into the works of other artists, as well as their own compositional process, the group proposes a broad and eclectic sonic imaginary. Sometimes dreamlike or melancholic, at other times humorous and satirical.

The project fits within a triangle: the fusion of the sound of classical chamber music, with modern music and electronica. It acquires sonic characteristics more typical of the dance floor. Retro-funk bases, cinematic pop, noise rock, R&B, reggae, or progressive music, contrast and counterpose the classic intimacy that precedes them.
