Exhibitions

Isaías Griñolo's projects (Huelva, 1963), visual artist, filmmaker, and curator, address antagonistic issues and practices through the relationships between memory, ecology, flamenco, art, and poetry.

Since 2011 he has been developing the multidisciplinary proposal titled historia_contemporánea (contemporary history), which has been presented in various national and international museums and spaces such as Secession (Vienna), Auguste Orts (Brussels), Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), and MNCARS (Madrid).

One of his most significant projects is Las fatigas de la muerte / MEP (The Fatigues of Death / MEP, 2010-2011), in addition to the film essays La España profunda (from Ortega y Gasset to Rocío Jurado) (Deep Spain [from Ortega y Gasset to Rocío Jurado], 2018), Auschwitz on the beach (Auschwitz on the beach, 2019), and 135 - 47 = 88 (2021). In live cinema, he has carried out Cantes tóxicos (Toxic Songs), a series of pieces for the collective Los Flamencos, with the poet Antonio Orihuela and the singer Niño de Elche.

It can be visited for free from Tuesday to Sunday and holidays, from 11 am to 8 pm.
