Friends of La Rambla and Elisava will inaugurate, on Tuesday June 2, the exhibition "Elisava x Amics de La Rambla; Souvenir", the second edition of the collaboration between these two entities. The exhibition can be visited free of charge from June 2 to July 2 on the ground floor of the Mirador de Colom.
"Elisava x Amics de La Rambla: Souvenir" brings together 11 pieces created by students of Elisava's Degree in Design and Innovation as souvenirs linked to La Rambla and Barcelona. The exhibition is a reflection on the souvenir object itself, the one we want to represent the city.
The objects on display serve as small mementos that seek to reflect on the essence and local culture of Catalonia and Barcelona, and in particular La Rambla. The projects also aim to bring closer, share, and communicate the value of the figure of the artisan as a key element between design and industry.
The exhibition, organized by Amics de La Rambla, Elisava and Turisme de Barcelona, has the support of the Barcelona City Council, Turisme de Barcelona, Elisava and GetYourGuide.
Participating students: Berta Abetlla, Gerard Bonals, Oleguer Casajuana, Jiayi Cheng, Pablo Noel de la Nuez, Roger Doña, Daniel Farid, Joana Fernandez, Albert Garcia, Susana Gonzalo, Michael Gris, Joan Miró, Uri Montserrat, Sandra Ortega, Elisa Piraino, Martí Reventós, Irene Riu, Giulia Rotunno, Georgina Vilà, Berta Vilella, Roser Xubet and Joan Marc Zapata.
This initiative is part of the project "La Rambla, a new model of Urban Tourism" with which Amics de La Rambla wants to invite everyone to stroll along La Rambla. The project has the support of the Barcelona City Council.
All visitors to the exhibition will be able to take advantage of a special 20% discount to visit the Mirador de Colom.
