Halldor & Toni at Fnac Rambles

Halldor & Toni will be performing at the Fnac Rambles forum on Friday, March 27 at 7pm. Halldor & Toni is a Barcelona-based duo formed by the Icelandic singer-songwriter Halldor Mar - with several albums released, the latest of which, This Way, Please (from last year), combines original songs and English versions of iconic Catalan rock anthems - and by Toni Álvarez, who balances his work as a lawyer with his passion for singing.

Both have been performing in Barcelona and surrounding areas since the early 21st century, and have played on such iconic stages as the Hard Rock Café, the Museum of Rock, and numerous venues of various styles. Their repertoire, which approaches three hundred songs, covers many of the most representative melodies of American and British pop-rock.

On this occasion, they come to the Fnac Rambles forum to offer a retrospective on the Britpop movement of the 1990s, combining short capsules of stories and anecdotes with the performance of some of the most legendary pieces of the genre. It's a journey through its origins, the years of rivalry between Oasis and Blur, its later evolution, and the hybridizations that have enriched it over time, without ever completely disappearing.
