A generation that observes and questions the others, the blend of places and languages, travels and time jumps through our history... L'Albada is a living and ambitious text that Jaume Viñas presented to us ten years ago. It's a great production for this summer, directed by Oriol Broggi and a company of eleven actors eager to shake the world and its silences.

During the preparations for the Barcelona Olympic Games in '92, Alba is finishing her history degree and embarks on an investigation that will take her further than she could ever have imagined. Guided by a good university professor and accompanied by another young historian ceaselessly searching for his origins, she will plunge into the darkest history of modern Spain and trace a path that will lead her from the Civil War to the euphoria of the Olympics. Alba will have to face the obstacles of a bureaucracy reluctant to research, archives filled with tons of papers, languages intertwined, many characters and witnesses who cannot or do not want to remember... A family thread, a journey to the past that will bring to light betrayals, love, hate, poetry, music, and friendships she can only keep alive if she dares to look back and remember.

L'Albada is the ambitious puzzle of a contemporary tragedy that speaks of us. From war and post-war, it will take us from one era to another, from one landscape to another, from one Spain to another, until reaching the fervent transition and the celebration of the '92 Games. L'Albada gives space to the pain and silence that is passed down from generation to generation and that has made Spain the country we know today. It is the portrait of a crossroads that can only be overcome with the help of others. L'Albada rebels against oblivion, against fear and against silence.
