Within the Liceu Jazz Series, the Live Room Conservatori Liceu hosts every Wednesday the concerts of the large ensembles from the Department of Jazz and Modern Music of the Liceu Superior Music Conservatory.
In this concert, the protagonist will be the Liceu BLAM Collective, a formation of the modern music field, where the students are directed by professors Pedro Campos and Alex Dee.
The Liceu BLAM Collective - initially with the artistic and musical accompaniment of Michael League, founder of the renowned band Snarky Puppy - presents itself as an explosion of music, full of influences from Black American Music and African American music in general.
This year, the repertoire to be performed revolves around the music of the late seventies and early eighties, within the AOR (Adult Oriented Rock) genre, with pieces by iconic bands such as Steely Dan, Toto, The Doobie Brothers, or Fleetwood Mac, among others.
