"Lorca's Indomias" at the Teatre Romea

Lorca's Indómitas represents a return for Atalaya to the author who has brought so much success to the company. This production does not present a specific text by the Granadan poet. The idea is to immerse ourselves in his universe and, more specifically, in the world of the women who are the protagonists of his works.

No other 20th-century author worldwide, nor in the history of Spanish literature, has given women the leading role as many times. We want to delve into Lorca's universe from a contemporary perspective, taking into account that some texts and characters have not aged as well as others, while some remain remarkably current.

The title plays with the idea of women with strong character and with the hint of madness that surfaces in some of them.
