Mar Vilaseca Quintet at Jamboree - Mas i Mas Festival

Mar Vilaseca (Barcelona, 1998) is one of the great voices of the new generations of singers. Brilliant student, she studied at ESMUC and at the Juilliard School in New York. Currently, she lives in the United States, where she is having a brilliant career. Indeed, as a sideman, she has collaborated with top figures such as Emmet Cohen - in the famous series 'Live From Emmet's House' -, the trumpeters and singers Toni Glausi and Benny Benack III, the bassist Russell Hall, and, in our country, with Ignasi Terraza, Mario Rossy, Geni Barry, and her father, the pianist Jaume Vilaseca, among others. As a solo artist, she has recorded albums like 'Find the Way' (2019). At Mas i Mas'25, she will perform with Tony Glausi and Russell Hall, as well as with Jaume Vilaseca and the drummer Esteve Pi, another young talent in our jazz scene. She will present a unique recital, with a repertoire that blends jazz with boleros and Latin music in general, and it will include a selection from the concert 'Bebop & Boleros', which she presented with Glausi at the Birland Jazz Club in New York.
