The Fira Nova d'Artesania, located on the Rambla Santa Mònica, offers an extensive range of handmade goods across more than 60 stalls: jewelry and costume jewelry, clothing, t-shirts, handbags, toys and small wooden objects, accessories, ceramics…
The Fira Nova d'Artesania was established in 1977. Back then, people who made feather earrings or Batik clothing were not considered artisans. That is why they decided to name the fair "new crafts" when they created it. Since 1992, it has been recognized as a traditional fair by the Barcelona City Council.
They have been among us for over 30 years and, although those who make wooden toys or earrings from recycled objects are now considered artisans, many locals in Barcelona still know them as the "hippy fair."
The Fira Nova d'Artesania is a great place to find an original gift or simply another reason to stroll along the Rambla.
