Pink Martini is a musical formation born in Portland (Oregon) in 1994 by the hand of pianist Thomas Lauderdale. Combining elements of classical music, pop, and jazz, the group has been characterized by a multilingual and cosmopolitan proposal. Since its beginnings, Pink Martini has sought to create a repertoire that works as a soundtrack for imaginary movies or travels around the world. The voice of China Forbes has been one of the distinctive features of the group since she joined in 1995, although other singers have also collaborated in different stages.
