Presentation "Wood and Resin" at the Liceu Conservatory

«Wood and resin» is a book that directly addresses the situation of the Music graduate who ends up dedicating himself to another profession, in a story written from direct knowledge of the concerns of students and graduates in higher music studies and of the generation of Ofèlia, an author who asserts that she would not write as she does if she had not studied music.

With works by Schumann and jazz standards performed by students from the Conservatory.

OFELIA CARBONELL 

Trained in the Degree and Master's in cello interpretation at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, where she was a student of Professor Amparo Lacruz, since 2019 she has been working in the field of communication as a writer and collaborator in videopodcasts such as Gent de Merda on Ràdio Primavera Sound and La Turra on Som Eva. She has also collaborated with Catalunya Música on the program Músiques Empoderades and with Catalunya Ràdio on the program Les Muses. She has written music criticism and dissemination for media outlets such as Núvol, Enderrock, and El Quadern of El País, where she has also covered cultural and social news. In 2023, she publishes Wood and Resin (Columna), a fiction about classical music and young people. In 2024, she publishes the essay Les catalanes no es pinten (Pòrtic).
