Raval 2025 Main Festival

From 10 to 13 July, el Raval is celebrating.

The festival will start on Thursday 10 from 19.30 h, with the traditional afternoon of prayers and parades. The Vicenç Martorell square will be the stage where the Raval Choral Societies and the giants will arrive in a parade and then the Major Festival Pregón will take place. This year, the preacher will be Antonia Raya, a defender of public health activist. This will be followed by a concert and dance by the Big EM Band.

On Friday, the festival will start with the Sports Morning on the Raval promenade and the Sports Morning in the Jardins de les Voltes d'En Cirés. In the afternoon, in Plaça Pedró, the Gypsy Festival organized by Carabutsí will take place, celebrating the second edition of the Ecomuseu Gitano International Awards.

The Rubió i Lluch Gardens will host a Community Day organized by the Rubió i Lluch and Gardunya Community Table. Starting at 19.00 h, there will be several concerts and a popular dinner open to everyone. In Plaça Castella, the Filipino festival Oyayi will take place, with concerts by bands of Filipino origin.

The Neighborhood Festival

Neighborhood dinners on the streets continue to play a major role in the festival. Thus, on Friday at the Jardins de les Voltes d'En Cirés, the 10th Popular Major Festival Dinner will take place, and in Carrer Picalquers, there will be a flower power themed dinner; on Saturday, there will be a fraternity dinner with picnic in Plaça Salvador Seguí, and finally on Sunday 13th, there will be a dinner open to everyone in Plaça Folch i Torres.

And as expected, traditional and popular cultural events will once again be very relevant in this edition. On Saturday the 12th in the afternoon, at 17.00 h, we will enjoy a joint parade of giants and stick dancers, which will lead to the human tower day. The giant parade, the stick dance and the human tower will converge to Plaça de la Gardunya where there will be a popular sausage fest from 21.00 h.

La Tabalada and the fire run will be the culminating event of the Major Festival with a route through the neighborhood streets. Beforehand, at 19.30 h in Plaça de Sant Agustí, the traditional sea shanties singing and rum burning for everyone.

Throughout the four days of the Festival, everyone will be able to enjoy the multitude of activities that the entities and associations have organized for young and old.
