Thursday, June 25 at 6:00 pm we invite you to the Route “La Rambla in Photographs”
La Rambla is Barcelona's promenade par excellence. It is beautiful, it is central, it takes you to the sea... but above all, it's the promenade where everyone meets. The street where Barcelonans of all kinds and outsiders mingle. A place for everyone, including photographers, La Rambla has always been the vantage point to observe and showcase the society of the time. We propose to walk along it following a century and a half of photographic footprints, emulating the masters of the craft who have left us a way of seeing it. Together we will analyze the photographs, their technical, aesthetic, and narrative aspects. We will contextualize them within their time to compare them to the current moment and look for ways to reproduce them today.
