On Tuesday, October 6th at 5:30 pm, we invite you to the route "BCN en Flames: La Rambla".
Manuel has delved into the firefighters' archives and now offers us an unprecedented route along La Rambla and its surroundings. We will discover how, throughout contemporary history, fires have affected central and emblematic buildings of our city. Seeing an icon burn catches people's attention, and newspapers... and urban legends have all covered it!
We will analyze famous fires (and some lesser-known ones): how the press photographed them, how the firefighters extinguished them, whether the origin was known, what consequences they had, how widely they were covered, and what rumors were sparked!
