Route: "Urbanism and power near Plaça del Rei"

Itinerary that covers the area surrounding Plaça del Rei, which has been a center of civil and religious power in Barcelona for two thousand years.

The route analyzes the relationship between urban planning and power from Roman times, with the forum and the Temple of Augustus as symbolic landmarks, up to the contemporary era, marked by the construction of the historical narrative through the creation of the so-called "Gothic Quarter."

The starting point is the archaeological complex of Plaça del Rei, crossing the space of the Palau Reial Major and tracing the persistence of this power center in the city over time.
