"The Magic Pencil". Family activity at the Gothic Library - Andreu Nin

The Magic Pencil is a storytelling play for a group of children aged between 4 and 12 years old. Guided by Professor Wonders, the children create an unlikely animal that comes together before their eyes.

The Magic Pencil is dynamic and interactive, focusing on developing children's imagination and making them have a very fun time. The activity begins with the short story The Mister Cactus, an adaptation of the tale by Carlos Be inspired by Andersen's The Ugly Duckling.

The Magic Pencil aims to stimulate children's imagination through the invention of unique and personal animals. Each child creates their own animal based on Professor Wonders' instructions: the more outlandish and strange the animal is, the more fun it will be, because being different is fantastic, being different is special.

Each child has their drawing, which they can creatively paint and personalize by adding the details they want. The magic of The Magic Pencil is to see how what one can imagine appears before their eyes: you think about it, you see it, you have it, and finally, you keep it as a unique and personal memory.
