Oriol Broggi directs The Tempest, one of the greatest and most magical texts by William Shakespeare. A return to the essential aesthetics of La Perla 29 and actor's theater, following the trail of King Lear (2008) and Hamlet (2009, 2021), where Teatre La Biblioteca will host the telluric forces of the second Shakespeare of the season.

A storm shipwrecks Alonso, King of Naples, his son Ferdinand, and Antonio, who usurped the Duchy of Milan from his brother. The fateful storm has been caused by Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, who has led them to the remote island where he has been living in exile for some time with his daughter Miranda. The shipwreck sets in motion his revengeful plan, which plays with love and desperation, and which he has concocted to reclaim what was taken from him, using secret powers of nature. Prospero knows the occult sciences and can control the spirits of the island, like Ariel, whom he has subdued to his service, or the unfortunate Caliban...

Thus begins one of the greatest and telluric stories of William Shakespeare, the last in chronological order and maturity to have reached our days. The island will be the setting for jesters, kings, mariners, lovers, nobles, and drunkards, surrounded by characters that only live in fiction while it becomes a reality on stage.
