Barcelona is getting ready to host the second edition of ItaliaRepublik Festival, the major cultural event that celebrates the connection between Italy and the Catalan city.
From May 8 to 10, 2026, the iconic Moll de la Fusta will be transformed into an open, free, and vibrant space where music, art, and gastronomy come together to create a unique experience.
Following the success of its first edition -with more than 15,000 attendees- Italia Republik returns, establishing itself as the leading Italian festival in Barcelona, a project that goes far beyond music: it is a meeting point for Mediterranean cultures, sounds, and communities.
SATURDAY: AFRICA UNITE
The most anticipated moment will arrive on Saturday, May 9 at 9:00 pm, with a performance by Africa Unite, the legendary Italian reggae band coming directly from Turin. With more than 40 years of experience, the band founded by Bunna and Madaski represents the longest-running reggae in Italy and is a symbol of social commitment, cultural diversity, and artistic resistance. Their presence in Barcelona makes this edition an event of international dimension, strengthening the cultural bridge between Italy and Catalonia. A unique, free concert by the sea, promising to bring together thousands of people on a historic night.
SUNDAY OF ENERGY AND MESSAGE: MAMA MARJAS, ELI KAPOWSKI, AND ALBA RUIZ
The festival will continue on Sunday with another of the great voices of the Italian music scene: Mama Marjas, who will deliver a powerful live performance filled with strength, identity, and social message. An artist who perfectly connects with the values of the festival: inclusion, awareness, and celebration of diversity. The local scene will feature the performance of Eli Kapowski, a DJ who continues to establish a sound identity of her own: timeless, vibrant, and deeply connected with the essence of the club. Another anticipated show is by Alba Ruiz, singer and saxophonist graduated from Taller de Músics ESEM in Barcelona, who will present her jazz & soul repertoire.
Italo Disco will have its moment with Zonzo (Glove Records) and Barox (Turinese DJ based in Berlin). The Neapolitan scene, always at the forefront, arrives on Friday with Manuel Del Giudice and Massimiliano Abbatangelo. Also joining is Laura Milazzo, singer and songwriter trained at the Taller de Músics in Barcelona, with a proposal that crosses jazz, bossa nova, and singer-songwriter music through a versatile and deeply personal voice.
For those who want to dance by the sea with an Aperol Spritz in hand, there will be Dalvis Band -one of the hottest bands in the Barcelona scene- and Luca Martini with his selection of vinyl records. The Mediterranean can also be heard: Diego Paqué, with his guitar, and Feta Trio Orquestra, from Greece, will bring intense rhythms and an energy that connects directly with the body.
