Amics de La Rambla and the Setba Foundation inaugurate "Masterful Posters of La Rambla" at the Mirador de Colom
September 15th. 2026
The exhibition “Magistral Posters of La Rambla” brings together the proposals that ten artists with intellectual disabilities have created for the La Rambla Poster Collection.
The exhibition will open on September 21 and can be visited free of charge until October 25, 2026, at the Mirador de Colom.
Amics de La Rambla and the Setba Foundation will inaugurate the collective exhibition «Magistral Posters of La Rambla» at the Mirador de Colom on September 21 at 12 p.m.
The show presents ten poster proposals created by artists with intellectual disabilities from ACUDAM, the Bogatell Occupational Center, the Condal Occupational Center, the Ave Maria Foundation, and the TEAS Foundation.
The works have been developed as part of the sixth edition of Magistrals, the Setba Foundation’s artistic training project for organizations in the disability sector, which this year has been led by illustrator and cartoonist Lluïsot.
The exhibition is the result of a professional commission from Amics de La Rambla to the Setba Foundation, as part of the «Poster of La Rambla» campaign, to create a new tourism poster inspired by the renovated Rambla de Santa Mònica. Previous posters were created by Reskate Studio and Jordi Ferrándiz – Bestiola.
With this commission, Amics de La Rambla has placed its trust in the excellence, perspective, and creative capacity of the artists participating in the Magistrals project.
«Posters of La Rambla» champions a model of locally created tourism souvenirs, rooted in the identity of Barcelona and with artistic and social value.
During the creative process, Amics de La Rambla brought the participating artists closer to the history, heritage, and current reality of this iconic promenade. By observing the Rambla de Santa Mònica, the artists reinterpreted its spaces, buildings, and symbols through urban sketching, composition, and color.
David Padín, author of the winning poster
The proposal by David Padín, an artist from the Condal Occupational Center, was chosen as the winning poster of the «Poster of La Rambla» campaign.
The jury was made up of Xavi Masip, manager of Amics de La Rambla; Santi Sallés, urban sketcher, illustrator and graphic designer; and Cristina Sampere, artist and director of the Setba Foundation.
Artists ready to take on high-level commissions
For the Setba Foundation, this collaboration should set a precedent and help generate new professional opportunities for artists with intellectual disabilities.
The Foundation advocates for administrations, companies and cultural institutions to include these artists in their commissions, competitions and programming, and for their proposals to be valued for their quality, uniqueness, and communicative capacity.
In this regard, the Setba Foundation asserts that an artist with intellectual disabilities can take on a high-profile cultural and institutional commission, such as creating the poster for La Mercè.
The exhibition «Magistral Posters of La Rambla» will showcase both the winning proposal by David Padín and the posters created by the rest of the participating artists.
The exhibition will open on September 21 at 12 p.m. at the Mirador de Colom and can be visited free of charge until October 25, 2026.
