Floral decoration in the courtyard of Palau Moja: The garlands of the Moja
September 16th. 2026
On the occasion of the Festa del Roser, the Palau Moja brings to its courtyard one of the most characteristic elements of its interior decoration: the floral garlands painted by Francesc Pla, known as "el Vigatà", the artist behind the remarkable set of paintings that decorate the palace's grand ballroom.
The installation is based on a very simple idea: to bring the painted flowers of the Palau to life. The garlands that form part of the historic decoration of the ballroom symbolically depart from the paintings to become real flowers, spreading across the balconies, entrances, and various elements of the courtyard.
The floral proposal recovers the pink tones present in the Palau's decorations, with the rose taking center stage, accompanied by eucalyptus and various greens that add volume and richness to the composition.
In this way, during the Festa del Roser, the heritage and floral tradition of La Rambla interact in the courtyard of Palau Moja, inviting visitors to also discover the origin of the garlands that have inspired the installation.
