Friends of La Rambla and GetYourGuide present the project "La Rambla, a new model of urban tourism" in Florence

On June 20, the third vice president of Amics de La Rambla, Ángel Díaz, presented the project "La Rambla, a new model of urban tourism" to the tourism officials of the Municipality of Florence.
The meeting took place with the support of GetYourGuide, which, together with the Barcelona City Council, has been supporting the project since 2023.
Àngel Díaz explained in detail the different initiatives being carried out (La Rambla invents, (Re)Discover La Rambla, La Rambla Observatory, Rambling, La Rambla posters...). These initiatives are launched with the intention that the remodeling works of La Rambla will lead to a transformation that goes beyond the physical change of the street. The goal is a transformation that excites and prioritizes the people who live and work in the city and, at the same time, serves as a presentation letter of the city to the world.
"La Rambla, a new model of urban tourism 2023-2027" is a project through which Amics de La Rambla aims to provoke a reflection on the tourism model of cities, specifically La Rambla. The ultimate goal of the project is to improve tourism management, making the most of its advantages and reducing as much as possible the dysfunctions it causes. The project is supported by the Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, and GetYourGuide.
