Friends of La Rambla is celebrating its anniversary. The Association is sixty-five years old.

May 25th. 2025

Friends of La Rambla was born on May 25, 1960 with the denomination "Association of merchants and neighbors of the Ramblas of Barcelona" and with the aim of defending and promoting the social, commercial and cultural interests of this universal promenade.

The signatories of the founding document were Jose Gaspart, Miguel Pantaleoni, Antonio Llenas, Amadeo Bagues, Baltasar Soubriet, Miguel Pinto, Francisco Malagrida, Higinio Feliu, Ramon Guimera and Jose Fedi.

Since that May 25th, the boards chaired by Higini Feliu, Amadeu Bagués, Joan Deulofeu, Enric Pantaleoni, Tristán Xancó, Ignasi Torralba, Ramón Lamazares, Joan Pavia, Joan Oliveras Bagués, Fermín Villar, Pau Bosch and Àlex Balletbó have worked together for La Rambla and for the city.

To all the people who have participated selflessly in these boards, thank you very much!

And above all, thank you very much to all the members of our organization. It is you who make it possible for Friends of La Rambla to continue working to improve La Rambla and the city.

We have been watching over La Rambla and its heritage for 65 years. We have achieved many of our goals, but there is still much to be done.

We would love to do it alongside all those who love La Rambla!

LA RAMBLA, BARCELONA
