In Plaça de Catalunya, the new temporary flower stalls from La Rambla are located.
February 5th. 2026
From mid-February (after Valentine's Day), the activity of the florists from La Rambla will be temporarily relocated to Plaça de Catalunya. They will remain there for the duration of the renovation works on the new Rambla, which have already started to affect the central section of this avenue.
The eight stalls will be set up on the side of Plaça de Catalunya, between Carrer de Pelai and Ronda de la Universitat. Of the current stalls, the only one that will remain as it is, in the same location and with the same format, will be Flors Carolina (La Rambla, 93), which has been awarded for its design and will continue to be run by the same concessionaire.
The relocation will already feature the new stall model, a small enclosure built with functional criteria for florists' activity. It is made with an exposed metal structure, with glass elements on the front side. Among other features, the stall includes a movable ramp for accessibility.
With the aim of clearing the promenade and organizing its elements, seven disused florist stalls were removed in October.
Now more than ever, it is necessary to defend the flower selling activity on La Rambla and to ensure that, despite the temporary relocation, they continue to be the first choice for local residents and neighborhood businesses when buying flowers.
