"La Rambla keeps adding up." Amics de La Rambla organizes the first Forum of the La Rambla Observatory

Amics de La Rambla is organizing the first edition of the La Rambla Observatory Forum, which will take place on Thursday 2 July, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the assembly hall of the CSIC Research Residence (Carrer de l'Hospital, 64).
The completion of the La Rambla redevelopment, scheduled for February next year, is much more than a mere facelift. It marks a milestone in the city's history and a unique opportunity to showcase, to the people of Barcelona and to the world, everything that La Rambla offers today and everything it can become in the coming years.
In this first edition of the Rambla Observatory Forum, we invite you to (re)discover the wide and diverse cultural offering of La Rambla —which attracts tens of thousands of Barcelonans every year— and to let yourself be surprised and inspired by all that is to come.
New projects and unique initiatives will undoubtedly reinforce this universal promenade as the city's main cultural axis.
We also want to share with you the projects and efforts that, from a framework of public-private collaboration, must make it possible for La Rambla —the main window that Barcelona opens to the world— to once again become fully a city space.
A space where tourist activities are integrated into a model of coexistence compatible with everyday life, leisure, culture, and urban use; where the most emblematic places, businesses, and establishments become, through their products, services, and experiences, more attractive and welcoming for those of us who live in Barcelona; and where, through leading digital presence, we can share with the rest of the world the La Rambla we want.
