Meeting of the Board of Directors of Friends of La Rambla with Ivan Pera
January 28th. 2026
The Board of Directors of Amics de La Rambla met on January 27th with the Commissioner of the Pact for Ciutat Vella, Ivan Pera.
The Commissioner explained the current status of the Pact and the next steps that the municipal government will implement. La Rambla and its surroundings were the focus of many of the questions and debates generated by the presentation.
The Pact for Ciutat Vella (PCV) aims to be an agreement that promotes a comprehensive transformation of the District of Ciutat Vella in the coming years, allowing for the recovery of a well-kept and excellent public space, contributing to ecological transition, and fostering an inclusive and sustainable social and economic development.
To drive it forward, it is essential to have the involvement of residents, organizations, entrepreneurs, merchants, and institutions of Ciutat Vella, working from agreement, dialogue, and consensus. Amics de La Rambla has supported and participated in the various phases that the Pact for Ciutat Vella has had so far.
This Pact arises from the need to respond to the district's challenges and reflects the demand expressed by the social, cultural, economic, and political agents of Ciutat Vella to address these challenges with a strategic and comprehensive vision. The Pact aims to be, therefore, a shared roadmap resulting from a broad social and political agreement, enabling its development regardless of who leads the city and district government.
The meeting took place at the Philippines Club of the Andilana group
