Mercè Race 2025 - Traffic disruptions

September 17th. 2025

On Sunday, September 21, starting at 8:30 am, the Cursa de la Mercè 2025 will take place.

The race goes through Passeig Colom and through Pelai and Plaça Catalunya. The circulation of vehicles will be prohibited starting at 7:30 am along the entire route.

Race route

Start: c. Aragó, near c. Pau Claris.

Route: c. Aragó, near c. Pau Claris, to av. De Roma, turn right onto c. Casanova, then turn right onto c. València tops. de Sant Joan with a right turn, to ps. de Lluís Companys, descending on the right side in the direction of traffic. Turn right onto c. Pujades and then turn left onto ps. Picasso until av. Marquès d'Argentera, with a right turn, ps. d'Isabel II, pg. Colom to the roundabout at pl. de les Drassanes, turn right to take av. del Paral·lel then turn right onto c. Entença. Turn right onto c. Floridablanca, turn left onto ronda Sant Antoni, pl Universitat, turn right onto c. Pelai, turn left onto pl. Catalunya and finish near c. Bergara.

Family Race

At 10:45 the family race will start and finish at Plaça Catalunya.

Route: pl. Catalunya, c. Pelai, pl. Universitat, ronda Sant Antoni until past c. Joaquim Costa, where there is a 360-degree turn to return on the same circuit to pl. Catalunya.

No Parking

Parking (including motorcycles on the sidewalk) is prohibited in the following areas:

From 8:00 pm on Friday, the 19th, until 3:00 pm on Sunday, the 21st, at pl. Catalunya, mountain sidewalk, sea side, between pg. Gràcia and rbla. Catalunya.
