Empty Seat Challenge is born with the most ambitious objective possible: to turn Catalonia into the world capital of the performing arts. And to achieve this, they want to rely on the best that this country has: its people, the civil society that mobilizes every time they face a historic milestone.
The challenge they propose is the following: to fill all the seats in the theaters of Catalonia on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Not a single empty seat left. An unprecedented event to make this date the first great Theatre Day in Catalonia, a Saint George's Day of the performing arts that we want to become an annual celebration.
Empty Seat Challenge is an initiative promoted by Adetca, Time Out, Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals (CCMA) with the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Diputació de Barcelona, and Barcelona City Council. However, its success depends on each of us. Choose your seat and share the challenge with all your people: on March 22, you are the protagonist of the largest theatrical performance ever held in Catalonia.
