On June 28th we organize the IV Sketch & Write La Rambla
June 9th. 2025
On Saturday, June 28, Amics de La Rambla organizes the IV Sketch & Write La Rambla, an open invitation to draw and write about La Rambla
This year the proposal will focus on the Boqueria Market and gastronomy, but you can draw and write about any corner of the promenade
At Amics de La Rambla we love that La Rambla is drawn and written about, that's why we propose, on Saturday, June 28 in the morning, an activity that combines a passion for urban sketching and improvised writing.
Sketch & Write La Rambla is an innovative cultural proposal that seeks to foster creativity by inviting everyone to draw and write live with La Rambla as a stage. It is a fun and participatory original experience that combines urban sketching and live writing.
Sketch & Write La Rambla is open to the public of all ages and proposes a route of spontaneous drawing and writing that can be practiced individually or in groups.
From the organization, we will suggest a route with some "secret" points and for two hours the participants will have to follow a path in search of a small story to tell with drawing and words.
To participate, it is only necessary to go on Saturday, June 28, between 9 and 10 am, to the Espai Boqueria at the Market (inside the Boqueria Market, very close to Bar Clemen's Boqueria). There, participants can sign up, receive instructions, and also their welcome kit.
Participants who sign up for the activity will receive gifts and will be invited to share their stories on the network. The activity ends with a meeting at the Centro Galego de Barcelona where participants who wish can share their creations live in an open mic format.
Sketch & Write La Rambla is organized by Amics de La Rambla and the Cultural Association Escritura en Vivo and is part of the project "La Rambla, a new model of Urban Tourism" with which Amics de La Rambla wants to invite everyone to stroll along La Rambla. The project is supported by the Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, and GetYourGuide.
