Opening of the exhibition "Souvenir" at the Palau Moja

The exhibition "Souvenir" gathers the proposals of the students from the Degree in Design and Innovation at Elisava to reinvent the type of souvenir object marketed in Barcelona

Wednesday, October 8th, within the framework of La Rambla's Festa Major and Barcelona Design Week, the exhibition "Elisava x Friends of La Rambla; Souvenir" was inaugurated. The exhibition can be visited for free from October 8th to 17th at Palau Moja (Portaferrissa, 1).

The inaugural event was attended by the City Councilor of Ciutat Vella, Albert Batlle, the director of Cultural Heritage of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Quim Borràs, the coordinator of the Product Area of the Degree in Design at Elisava, Luis Eslava, and the president of Friends of La Rambla, Àlex Balletbó.

"Elisava x Friends of La Rambla: Souvenir" showcases 10 pieces that the students from the Degree in Design and Innovation at Elisava have created as souvenir objects linked to La Rambla and Barcelona. The exhibition is a reflection on the souvenir object itself, the one we want to represent the city.

The exhibited objects serve as small souvenirs that seek to define the city of Barcelona and its culture through artisanal training to approach, share, and communicate the value of the artisan as a key element between design and industry.

The exhibition, organized by Friends of La Rambla, Elisava, and the Catalan Agency of Cultural Heritage, is supported by the Barcelona City Council and GetYourGuide.

The project was tutored by: Luis Eslava and Guim Espelt.
