December 14th. 2025

Saturday 13 La Rambla lived a new edition of the Rambling, the interactive game to (re)discover La Rambla.

This year three new free routes were scheduled to (re)discover La Rambla with the aim of promoting the culture, heritage, and history of this emblematic promenade.

The new routes that have been designed are: Photographers of La Rambla, Artworks on La Rambla, and Inns and Hotels on La Rambla.

The initiative invites to reconnect and rediscover La Rambla while playing. There was no limit of participants, but prior registration was required on the website of Amics de la Rambla. These routes have the incentive of discovering surprises, secrets, and elements that go unnoticed in our daily lives.

The #Rambling routes

All routes started at the Barcelona Wax Museum, where participants headed to start the game.

Photographers of La Rambla

The history of La Rambla is not understood without the photographs that have told us. The route goes through the most iconic photos of La Rambla by the photographers who have best explained it. From Frederic Ballell to Colita, Ramblista of Honor, participants will relive photos of shops, buildings, and people.

Artworks on La Rambla

Among the crowd, La Rambla hides many artworks. This route invites you to discover some that are well-known and others that will surprise you.

Inns and Hotels on La Rambla

When Barcelona was not touristic, La Rambla was also the most visited spot in the city. Hotels are a fundamental element in the history of La Rambla. Illustrious visitors, current hotels with a lot of history, historical events, artistic facades and interiors, curious anecdotes... The route will reveal to you the history of the hotels and their relationship with the history of Barcelona.

You can also play the old routes.

The Rambling routes are available on the Amics de La Rambla website to continue playing at any time of the year. These are from the 2024 edition.

La Rambla facades

Walk along the most emblematic avenue of the city, from Plaça de Catalunya to Port Vell, to enjoy an open-air museum. You just have to look around, find the curiosities presented by some of the most unique facades of La Rambla, and discover the secrets they hide. The clues lead to buildings like the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona or the Casa dels Paraigües.

La Rambla in cinema

It is a cinematographic journey through the most famous sets of this street. Discover old cinemas that witnessed great premieres, hotels where Hollywood actors stayed, and locations of movies filmed on La Rambla. Learn anecdotes and stories that have made this promenade a true film set.

Characters of La Rambla

This is a route to discover the most iconic characters and artists that have passed through La Rambla and have marked the history of the street. Passing by the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Palau Güell or Plaça Reial, where the history of poets, musicians, and actors who have left their mark between squares and streets will be told.

Prizes for playing

These are some of the prizes that the participants won on the 13th:

Dinner + show for two at Tablao Flamenco Cordobés

5 double tickets to the Barcelona Wax Museum

2 invitations to CEM Colom

These activities stem from the public-private collaboration between Amics de La Rambla, GetYourGuide, the leading online portal of experiences, and the Barcelona City Council, which have promoted a series of activities to promote a change in the narrative of La Rambla. The project named "La Rambla, a new model of urban tourism" consists of seven lines of action for the period from 2023 to 2027 and collects a single objective, to strengthen and return La Rambla to the people of Barcelona.

Smart Rambla with Identify Travel

The Rambling has the technological support of Identify Travel, which has been collaborating with Amics de La Rambla for years to bring La Rambla closer to everyone with technology as an ally.

For us, the collaboration with Amics de La Rambla represents a unique opportunity to enhance the cultural and social value of digital routes. This alliance allows us to create innovative experiences in our city that not only promote the historical, urban, or cinematographic heritage of Barcelona but also help strengthen the bond between the local community and visitors. Together, we work to generate a positive impact, fostering sustainable tourism that respects the identity of La Rambla and enriches society with routes that inspire, educate, and connect the past with the present,” comment the four founders of Identify Travel; Elena and Noelia Losantos, Esteve Dalmau, and Aleix Riba.
