Saint George in La Rambla

April 21st. 2025

Despite the renovation works, La Rambla will once again be one of the epicenters of the Sant Jordi celebration in Barcelona. The works will stop for a day and we will have the opportunity to get a taste of what the new Rambla will be like.

The florists of La Rambla, one of our most beloved traditions, will once again offer their roses at the stalls of Rambla Sant Josep, also known thanks to them, as La Rambla de les Flors.

Books will also be present at the stalls that, coordinated by the Guild of Booksellers, will fill La Rambla from Plaça Catalunya to Plaça del Teatre with books to choose from.

Friends of La Rambla will have - in front of La Rambla 105 - their traditional stall with books that talk about La Rambla or that are written by residents of La Rambla. At the Friends of La Rambla stall will sign Tona Pous ("In a main La Rambla" and "Forgive me, baby, I've changed the title"), Carmen Huelves ("A diary of Les Rambles"), Albert Torras ("The disappeared Rambla" and "The disappeared Gran Teatre del Liceu") and Daniel Venteo ("La Rambla" and "Ciutat Vella disappeared").

The Centro Galego de Barcelona will also have a stall, in front of Rambla 35, with signatures of Galician authors (M. José Salvador, Pura López, Mar Veiga and Xose A. Pérez Bouza).
