Sant Jordi on La Rambla... And, near La Rambla...

April 8th. 2026

In Barcelona, the most traditional Sant Jordi celebration has always had its epicenter on La Rambla. We would like it to always be that way... but this year the construction works affect the celebration of Sant Jordi on La Rambla. The City Council has decided that, for everyone's safety, the celebration of Sant Jordi must be moved from La Rambla to other areas of the city.

This is a temporary move and, in 2027, once the works are finished, Sant Jordi will shine on La Rambla again and we will once again enjoy roses and books.

What will the Sant Jordi 2026 celebration on La Rambla be like?

Remember that, this year, the flower stalls from La Rambla are located at Plaça de Catalunya.

You will also not find the traditional book stalls, which for safety reasons have been moved to other locations in the city (the closest ones at Avinguda del Portal de l'Àngel and Plaça de Catalunya).

But La Rambla always beats strongly, and even more so for Sant Jordi. Here you have some of the main activities taking place on or near La Rambla.
