July and August in Barcelona. Many things come to a halt. However, La Rambla, despite the ongoing construction works, never rests and continues to be the best place in the city to enjoy culture.

Remember that on La Rambla you can also go to emblematic shops like Barça Store Canaletes, the Pompeia bookstore or Casa Beethoven. You also have two shopping centers: Maremagnum (open every day of the year) and El Triangle, the Fira de Nova Artesania and many small shops (Laguarda Joiers, Pelleteria Prieto, Domingo Cigars, Art Escudellers, Bienoti and many more).
La Boqueria is the city's market and you can also go to new shops like the one Torrons Vicens has opened on La Rambla.
