Sustainability in Commerce. COMDUR Project

February 10th. 2026

The Barcelona City Council is participating in the cross-border project COMDUR (Sustainable Commerce), an initiative scheduled to run until June 2026. Its main objective is to improve the sustainability of local businesses through the integration of circular economy practices.

How do they help you improve?

The project offers a personalized, scalable, and mentored approach that adapts to the maturity level of each business.

To achieve this, they provide you with:

• Digital self-diagnosis tool: A technological solution that will allow businesses to easily assess their degree of sustainability.

• Individualized roadmaps: We design a specific roadmap for each establishment in order to achieve concrete sustainability objectives.

Participating in COMDUR is not just an environmental measure; it is a key strategy for the competitiveness of your sector.

These are the reasons to be part of the 500 businesses in Barcelona forecast in the project:

1. Future legislation will impose mandatory sustainability measures; COMDUR prepares you for these changes.

2. Today's consumers are increasingly demanding businesses and services committed to the circular economy.

3. Optimize your resources: We help you reduce emissions and make more efficient use of resources.

4. Cooperation and expertise: Take advantage of the knowledge of a cross-border network dedicated to promoting sustainability and the environment.
