The 11th edition of the Tast a La Rambla exceeds 150,000 tastings

More than 400,000 people have passed through Plaça de Catalunya, 42% from Barcelona, 18% from the rest of Catalonia, and 40% international audience

The best-selling tapa has been the burger from the newest Vacanal de Nandu Jubany

Tast a La Rambla concluded its eleventh edition this Sunday with 152,000 tastings sold to more than 400,000 people who visited Plaça de Catalunya between Thursday, May 8 and Sunday, May 11.

The audience is mainly from Barcelona (42%), followed by 40% international visitors and 18% from the rest of Catalonia.

The Burger Vacanal de Nandu Jubany is crowned as the best-selling tapa of 2025, a project that made its debut at Tast a La Rambla. In second place is the tapa "The Burger that gave sense to everything" from the restaurant Leña Barcelona, by chef Dani García. In third place is the "Quesabirria" from the restaurant La Mafia Mexicana by chef Renato Guiomar; in fourth place is the tapa "Paccheri, squash, parmesan, truffle" by chef Michele Granziera from the restaurant Cecconi's and, in fifth place, is "Octopus and 'botifarra' rice with red pepper alioli" by the restaurant Família Nuri, with Alex Jiménez in the kitchen.

In addition, Tast a la Rambla hosted 65 free activities, including tastings, musical performances, and showcookings, all of which sold out in all its sessions. Among the musical performances, the flamenco music and dance show by Tablao Flamenco Cordobés stood out on the occasion of its 55th anniversary.

Álex Balletbó, president of Amics de La Rambla, highlighted that "the weather has been favorable, increasing the number of people who have been able to enjoy a high-level gastronomic proposal. In addition, the showcookings, concerts, and gastronomic and playful activities have been very well received". Jordi Parra, director of the gsr group, praised the effort of restaurateurs and sponsors "to bring their best gastronomy to the public space, turning it into a meeting and enjoyment place for 4 days".

Thus, Tast a la Rambla concluded its 11th edition, during which the culinary work of chef Carles Gaig was recognized with the ll Premi Tast a la Rambla for his career and commitment to Catalan and Barcelona gastronomy.
