The "Mas i Mas Festival" 2026 is coming

February 26th. 2026

From April to September 2026, Barcelona will host the 23rd edition of the MASiMAS Festival, the most ambitious proposal in its history, with a program of 40 live concerts in six historic venues around the city. Far from being a one-off event, the festival definitively consolidates its transformation into a long-season, multi-venue cycle, deeply linked to the city's cultural life. For six uninterrupted months, MASiMAS offers a musical journey that connects venues, established artists, and new generations.

As is tradition, jazz serves as the backbone of the program, offering a broad journey that ranges from the most classic jazz to the most contemporary expressions of the genre. Nevertheless, the MASiMAS Festival remains true to its DNA and opens up its program to celebrate funk, soul, hip-hop, Afro-Latin, and Caribbean music. International figures such as Sasha Berliner, Seun Kuti, Ghost Note, Charlotte Dos Santos, and the explosive Balkan Reunion top a lineup designed for excellence.

Figures, Spaces, and Collaborators of This Edition

This edition deploys unprecedented muscle with a total of 40 high-impact concerts. To do so, the festival charts a route through six key stages around Barcelona. From the heart of the legendary Jamboree, a true pillar of the program, the music expands to large venues such as Razzmatazz 2, La Paloma, Paral·lel 62, and the majestic Palau de la Música Catalana.

Beyond the classic concert format, the festival activates its educational and creative facet. Between July 9 and 15, it hosts the GMF Barcelona Jazz Workshop, a pedagogical project endorsed by the Global Music Foundation that transforms Jamboree into the epicenter of jazz education, facilitating the meeting between international students and top-level teachers. The gathering will also take center stage at the festival with special concerts under this initiative.

MASiMAS Group, 30 Years of Cultural Activism

The MASiMAS Festival 2026 will close with a grand finale party at Paral·lel 62, an event that reaffirms the commitment of the Mas i Mas Group to live music after more than 30 years of cultural activism. This 23rd edition is not just a festival; it is the confirmation of a philosophy that supports live music as a pillar of Barcelona's culture.
