The restaurants and patisseries of La Rambla and the Mercè neighborhood stand out at Tast a La Rambla
May 31th. 2026
Tast a La Rambla is a celebration of gastronomy and a showcase of the best restaurants in our city. Organized by Amics de La Rambla and grup gsr, Tast a La Rambla has established itself as Barcelona's gastronomy week and as a city festival for people to come together and enjoy the city center.
Among the restaurants, we are very pleased with the participation from our region, showcasing the quality of many establishments on La Rambla and in the Mercè neighborhood.
The restaurant Cecconi's, with Fabio Berlingieri, offered their "Gnocchetti, white asparagus ragout, guanciale, parmesan, and black truffle."
And although it is not on La Rambla, Dos Pebrots restaurant by Albert Raurich and Takeshi Somekawa also triumphed with their "Iberian pork and squid meatballs." Pepa Tomate, led by Josep Carbonell, presented a "Fried baby squid mollete with citrus aioli." The young chefs from Restaurant La Pau offered a "Catalan-style grilled chicken sandwich," and Carlos Novo from Restaurant CentOnze proposed a "Crispy potato bomba stuffed with free-range poultry stew." For the first time, market bar cuisine was featured at Tast a La Rambla with Kiosko Universal and Miguel Ángel Arza, who cooked his "Cap i Pota."
The patisseries of La Rambla have also been present at this year's Tast a La Rambla. Pastisseria Escribà, one of the classics of the Tast led by Christian and Pol Escribà, presented "La Estrella del Tast," a tribute to Damm to celebrate their 150th anniversary. Forn Gil by Esther Real and Gerard Gil presented "The Tiles of Palau Moja."
To all of them, thank you very much, and congratulations on the achievement of being there and doing it so well.
