This 2025 comes full of activities to La Rambla

January 20th. 2025

Despite the renovation works, which this year will reach the Raval area, La Rambla continues to beat intensely and the calendar is full of activities, many organized by Amics de La Rambla. Here is a small preview of what you can enjoy on La Rambla throughout 2025:

Free routes to get to know La Rambla better

Under the generic name '(Re)Discover La Rambla,' Amics de La Rambla - with the complicity of GetYourGuide and the Barcelona City Council offers routes to better understand the past, present, and future of La Rambla. There are routes for all tastes: literary, black chronicle, historical, in a female key... all routes are free. Different editions with around fifty routes are planned. Since the dates are not yet scheduled, you will have to follow the networks or the Amics de La Rambla website where they will be announced.

Rambling

Rambling is a different way to take routes on La Rambla. Rambling offers different routes that allow you to discover different aspects of La Rambla while playing with the help of a mobile phone. The routes are always available, but on the day of Rambling, playing has a prize. The fourth edition of Rambling is scheduled for November.

A family day

In 2024, Amics de La Rambla invited grandparents and grandchildren to walk with Las Golondrinas and visit the Barcelona Wax Museum. This 2025, we want to organize a family day again to show some of the attractions of the promenade.

Taste on La Rambla

Taste on La Rambla is the city's gastronomy festival. Its eleventh edition will take place from May 8 to 11 in Plaça Catalunya on the occasion of the renovation works.

La Rambla Festival - Rose Festival

The La Rambla Festival will fill La Rambla with flowers from October 4 to 12 with floral decorations and many activities for everyone.

We Make Paellas on La Rambla Competition

We Make Paellas on La Rambla, organized by Amics de La Rambla and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, is a popular, fun, and supportive competition. It does not yet have a date, but it is planned to take place in October.

Catrinas Parade

The Catrinas Parade reaches its fourth edition, organized by Amics de La Rambla and Mexcat, on November 2. The catrinas will fill La Rambla to celebrate the Mexican Day of the Dead.

Book Village

Also the fourth edition of La Rambla Book Village. Books will conquer La Rambla on December 12, 13, and 14.

Christmas on La Rambla

Christmas fills La Rambla and its surroundings with activities. The Christmas Fair at the Port, the Christmas Carols concert, and the hot chocolate event organized by Amics de La Rambla, Christmas floral art workshops... going down to La Rambla is a Christmas tradition.

And remember that there are always many things to do on La Rambla or very close to La Rambla. Theaters (the Gran Teatre del Liceu, el Poliorama, el Romea, Theatre Biblioteca de Catalunya - La Perla 29, or Teatre Maldà), cinema (el Maldà), museums or exhibition halls (Maritime Museum, the Aquarium, the Wax Museum, santa Mònica, the Erotic Museum, the Enric Miralles Foundation, l'Espai Moja, La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, Palau Martorell, and Sala Parès), places to listen to good music (Jamboree, Duende, Moog, Los Tarantos, Liceu or Tablao Flamenco Cordobés), historical buildings that can be visited (Palau Güell, the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona, Santa Maria del Pi or the Basilica de la Mercè), libraries (the Gòtic-Andreu Nin, Raval, and the Catalonia Library) and other attractions (Columbus Monument, Joan Miró Mosaic, Las Golondrinas, La Boqueria Market, painters and caricaturists, La Rambla flower stalls, New Crafts Fair)...
