Barcelona is a city with a strong, creative, innovative, sustainable, and diverse gastronomic offering. Over the years, the restaurants in its districts and neighborhoods have established themselves as a key part of the city's identity and, at the same time, as essential players in spreading the potential of Barcelona's gastronomic culture.

In this context, the Barcelona Restaurant Awards, promoted by the Department of Commerce, Restaurants, and Food Services of Barcelona City Council, aim to annually recognize and promote the initiatives of local neighborhood restaurants and proximity establishments in the city, and to value their contribution to a quality, rooted, and sustainable gastronomy that forms part of Barcelona's identity.
