Boadas Cocktail Bar
Boadas Cocktail Bar opened its doors in 1933 by Miquel Boadas. Then it was his daughter, Maria Dolors Boadas - Honorary Ramblista in 1995 -, who took over the business. Currently, Jerónimo Vaquero, with more than 48 years of experience, leads this fantastic spot on La Rambla.
Throughout these 85 years, the cocktails of Boadas have quenched the thirst and brought joy to different generations of people from Barcelona.
Its location - on the corner of Carrer Tallers and La Rambla -, its classic decoration, the quality of its cocktails, and the exquisite and attentive service that they always offer to regulars - who are many - and occasional visitors, have turned this small space into a meeting point and a must-visit for all kinds of audiences.
Entering Boadas means leaving behind the hectic pace of the city and immersing yourself in the tranquility that the small venue offers. Time slows down and our problems disappear.
The walls of Boadas are filled with snippets of its history. A history made by the many clients who have enjoyed good times here. Dedication messages, drawings, and photographs are the documents that tell us this story full of anecdotes.
Here, you come to have a good time, and to do so, the best thing is to be advised by the bartenders and enjoy quietly the drinks prepared with care and calm. There is no menu, but it is not needed as the service cannot be more attentive.
When Boadas is empty - which is rare -, it is very charming, and when it is full - which is almost always - it is a party. For an aperitif before lunch, or a drink in the afternoon, to start an evening or to finish it, Boadas is always a good option.
